Back to home Company

The ambition, the founder, and the name.

NURA AI builds named, role-specialized AI Colleagues for the enterprise back office.

We are building the company around a simple belief: capable teams should not spend their best hours on repetitive operational work. They should spend them on decisions, judgement, customers, people, and growth. NURA AI exists to move the execution layer of enterprise operations into governed AI Colleagues, while keeping decisions with people.

The ambition

The gap was never capability.
It was execution.

Most back-office teams do not lose time because they lack skill. They lose it because skilled people are pulled into the same execution loops every day: triaging requests, drafting repeat documents, chasing approvals, checking records, following up across systems, and turning scattered work into something leadership can see.

NURA AI is built to close that gap. Our ambition is to create AI Colleagues that take on the execution layer of enterprise operations: real, named, role-specialized teammates that follow your rules, work inside your operating model, route decisions to the right people, and record every important action.

The principle underneath everything
AI owns execution. Humans own decisions.

That means AI can prepare, route, follow up, draft, check, coordinate, and execute approved work. But consequential decisions remain with accountable people. Every sensitive action is gated. Every decision is traceable. Every workflow must be inspectable.

We are starting with DINA, our first AI Colleague for HR Operations. From there, NURA AI will build a roster across Finance, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Sales, and other back-office functions.

The founder

It began on the operating floor.

Imtiaz Ibrahim, Founder and CEO of NURA AI
Imtiaz Ibrahim
Founder & CEO

NURA AI was founded by Imtiaz Ibrahim and is being built in Dubai, UAE. Imtiaz brings more than twenty years of commercial and operational leadership across the GCC and Levant, with experience spanning FMCG, beauty, consumer health, dermo-cosmetics, distribution, retail, e-commerce, and regional business transformation.

His career has included leadership roles across global organizations including L'Oréal, Energizer, and PepsiCo, alongside his own ventures. He has led multi-market commercial operations, owned regional P&L responsibilities, built business development engines, shaped omnichannel models, worked across 3PL and distribution models, and operated across portfolios exceeding USD 465M in regional scale.

But NURA AI did not begin only from a technology idea. It began from the operating floor.

Imtiaz has built, managed, coached, and trained large teams across the region. He has worked close to the people who carry the execution load every day: HR teams, commercial teams, sales teams, finance teams, supply chain teams, distributors, field teams, and business planners. That closeness shaped the conviction behind NURA AI.

In company after company, the same pattern appeared. Capable people were not short of ambition or intelligence. They were trapped inside repetitive work, fragmented follow-ups, unclear handoffs, scattered approvals, SOP-heavy processes, and KPI pressure that left little room for better decisions. It was operational chaos hiding in plain sight.

The opportunity was not to replace people. It was to remove the execution drag around them. When the execution layer is structured, governed, and handled with discipline, teams move faster. Work becomes clearer. Decisions improve. Leaders see what is really happening. And people are freed to do the work only people should do.

We are proving that standard through DINA first, with the governance, audit trail, approval gates, and human decision controls required before any customer should trust an AI Colleague with real work. We only ship what we would trust to run inside our own company.

The name

NURA comes from the idea of light.

Light reveals what is hidden. It brings clarity to what was scattered, opaque, or hard to see. That is what NURA AI is built to do for enterprise operations.

The name is short, human, and easy to say across languages. It reflects the kind of product we are building: not a cold black-box system, but a trusted operating layer that helps teams see the work clearly and make better decisions.

Our AI Colleagues carry real human first names such as DINA, HANA, TARIQ, LINA, and YARA because they take on real roles inside a business. They are not anonymous chat windows. They are role-specialized AI Colleagues, each designed for a clear operating function. NURA is the company, the platform, and the coordinating intelligence behind that roster.
